Un-balanced ducting will cause some rooms to be hot while another room is cold.

Balancing the duct system is as simple as measuring each room, and then ensuring each room gets the proper amount of air. Keep in mind that some rooms may have a "different" load because of window area and location of the room, i.e. the hot side of the home. Good windows and proper insulation will help to offset this problem.

Another solution if you are experiencing uneven temperatures in the home is to run your indoor fan in the on position. This will not only even out temperature differences, it will help keep your indoor air clean by increased filtering. This is even more cost effective if you have a variable speed indoor blower.
